Dr. Caglar Sinayuc is Naphtho Technical Group Reservoir Engineering Director who has more than 20 years of expertise is in the study of gas hydrates, CO2 storage, reservoir modeling, geothermal reservoir engineering, and laboratory quality management.
Dr. Caglar is an Associate Professor in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey. Before joining the department in 2011, Caglar has worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering of Imperial College London for more than 3 years. He is the Chairperson of the Department and Head of the Petroleum Research Centre.
Dr. Caglar’s experiences and wide academic and business sector network have played a key role in leading many major projects. Establishing CO2 Enhanced Oil recovery Business Advantages in South-Eastern Europe (ECO-BASE), Enabling Onshore CO2 Storage in Europe (ENOS), Akcakoca Gas-Hydrate Research Project in a Pilot Area of West Black Sea, Assessment of Kizildere, KZD-III Field Geothermal Capacity are some of the major projects.
Dr. Caglar has 15 International Peer-Reviewed Papers, 4 project reports, 13 International Conference Proceedings, 12 International Conference Proceedings. He also supervised 12 MSc. thesis and 3 Ph.D. theses until today.
He holds Ph.D., MSc. and BSc. degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey.
