Mehmet SAVRAN

Mehmet Savran is Naphtho Technical Group Oil Trading & Supply Director. Mehmet is a key team player in multi-disciplinary teams performing a wide range of E&P technical, commercial and strategic projects providing advice to oil companies, investors and government agencies.

His 40 years vast experience along with interconnected international network helps him to reach out for oil trading and supply strategies which yields to client for economical gains. Mehmet started earlier to his career in 1973 in PETKIM as a project engineer and later spent 1 year in Denmark worked for HALDOR TOPSOE in Copenhagen. He later spent almost 12 years in Libya having several technical and managerial roles for different companies. In 1987 joined to TUPRAS as a chairman and general manager until 1992. Following 10 years Mehmet pointed to many critical roles in Turkish Government and in private oil and gas sector. Mehmet currently is a technical advisor to Ministry of Turkish Republic Energy and Natural Resources since 2017 and he has key role for TPAO for investments strategies and policies for Libya.

Mehmet recent assignments have included managing operated and non-operated asset portfolios for start-up companies, performing due diligence for asset and company valuations.

Mehmet is a writer of several technical papers and holds MSc. and BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. He also holds Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nine September University, Izmir, Turkey.
