Umida SHARIPOVA
Procurement & Sourcing Director
Umida Sharipova is Naphtho Technical Group’s Procurement and Sourcing Director. She has more than 15 years of supply chain experience in a corporate environment and is an expert in procurement, sourcing, and logistics management and analysis. Umida has a proven track record of leading diverse teams, setting them up from scratch, and developing operational workflows while promoting a positive culture in the work environment. She is proficient at cultivating sustainable relationships with executive stakeholders and driving organizational growth.
Umida began her career at Multilot JV and has also worked at UN Uzbekistan, Societe pour l’Exportation des Produits Nestle S.A, FE “MAYWAND” RepOffice of “KT&G” & “Alokozay.” For the last 10 years, she has been with Schlumberger for Oil and Gas E&P projects and producing assets.
Umida has extensive experience in planning and executing new oil and gas field development projects and production facilities, including creating and setting up logistics functions from scratch within critically short deadlines. She has managed procurement and sourcing strategy for projects valued at over $50 million, including the Rustaveli Project in Georgia.
Umida has worked in various locations such as Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. She is also a skilled instructor in complex budgeting, planning, cost control of project procurement plans, and monitoring and evaluating project progress and performance for procurement, sourcing, contracting, and logistics.
Umida holds several procurement officer certifications, including Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), and Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM). She also has a license for Category 1 training of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. She holds a BSc. degree in English Philology & Translation from Uzbek State World Languages University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
